krysta sá (b.1988 in the black swamp) is an interdisciplinary artist and bathhouse practitioner examining the unstable boundaries between consumption, care, labor and "the self" in therapeutic and artistic production. sá's research centers historical, contemporary and speculative methodologies of healing, labor and DIY production found in occult science, cosmetology, alchemy and homeopathic, drug and new age therapeutic practices. Tending to material processes through performance, her practice generates images, objects, videos, essences, treatments, and arrangements. krysta sá currently lives and works in durham, nc.
