Intimate Economies is a hyper sensorial installation and 12-hour live stream performance that examines the leaky relationships between therapeutic production and consumption in context to nocturnal labor. In this exhibition, the bathhouse shape shifts between the digital realm and the away from keyboard world. Boundaries are blurred, materials and information leak into one another in a constant state of regeneration. Oppressive cultural and economic systems make care an individual act of exploitation, leaving little to no room for reciprocity between care-giver and care-receiver. Intimate Economies entangles the current crisis of care with historical and contemporary practices of bodily maintenance and healing practices to produce complex knowledge systems of frantic and unruly states of tending under the April full moon.
